New 2021 Bass Fishing Regulations for Zone 20

Zone 20 is Lake Ontario, St. Lawrence River, including The Bay of Quinte.

New Proposed Canadian Pleasure Craft License Fees

Bass Tournament Organizer Fined $9,000

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) wants to remind fishing tournament organizers that they must follow all the conditions of licences and authorizations issued to them.

 

On July 15, 2019, conservation officers responded to several tips about a bass fishing tournament that had been held on the St. Lawrence River near Gananoque. The conservation officers were told there were dozens of fish killed over the course of the two-day tournament.

The top 40 anglers from the 2020 Renegade Bass Tour is now set and teams are preparing for Classic XXV on the St.Lawrence River out of Brockville. Competing teams are faced the fact with ONLY Canadian waters are eligible from Cornwall to Lake Ontario.

Flying Dutchmen, John Ebbers and Michael Vandenberg won the fifth and final qualifier of the 2020 Renegade Bass Tour series bringing 24.08 pounds of smallmouth to the scales anchored with a 5.92 smallmouth. Their bag of smallmouth bested another impressive bag of smallmouth. Kyle Healy and Adam Howell’s bag tip the scales at 22.44 pounds with a beautiful 5.11 smallie, good for 3rd big fish on the day. Q4 winners, Aaron Powell and Johnny Fidaoui had 2nd big fish on the day...

It is with a heavy heart that I have to report the sad news of Jim's passing in the very early hours of Sunday morning. (August 9,2015) In his Seeleys bay home.
